For two hours you can embrace the relaxing environment of Sonder x Layers and create your own Kurinuki carving from stoneware clay with contemporary design maker Amy Stringer.
Become lost in the meditative process of Kurinuki whilst sipping on a tea or coffee, or come as a group as a great excuse to catch up and carve
You will have the choice of creating a decorative tea bowl, which can be used to drink tea, as a candle holder or a small plant pot - or add a handle to your carving to be used as a mug
Once the workshop is over, the carvings will be taken to dry in Amy's studio for around 3 weeks, before their first bisque firing - the glaze (in the colour of your choice) will then be applied and your piece will go into a second glaze firing before being ready to hand back to you! This process takes 4-6 weeks
Items will be available to collect from Amy, Sonder, or can be posted back to you + postage fee
